Tim Mertèz (1985) is a photographer located in Belgium.

In his personal endeavors, Tim frequently exhibits a deep fondness for the artistic legacies of the old masters.
Tim Mertèz's deep-rooted passion lies in music. Since he turned five years old, he has immersed himself in the art of drumming. His forays into the world of music steered Mertèz towards collaborations with various bands. Serving as the drummer for the ensemble known as 'Cholla,' he procured his inaugural camera in 2016. The group harboured the vision of producing its own visual content; nevertheless, a constraint in finances for lighting and sound impeded this venture.

Undeterred, Mertèz chose to delve further into the realm of photography during this period, gradually nurturing a fervour for the craft.
Setting ambitious objectives for himself, in 2020, Tim Mertèz embarked on his academic journey as a part-time student at LUCA School of Arts - Narafi, en route to attaining a Professional Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Techniques. It is under this programme that he successfully completed his studies, emerging in 2025 as a proficient photographer and videographer.
